Marion Van Kirk, M.D.

Dr. Van Kirk joined Carolina Ophthalmology, P.A. in 1987 following completion of a three-year ophthalmology residency program at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, TX,  where she also received her medical degree. Dr. Van Kirk completed her internship at Norwalk Hospital,   Yale University School of Medicine, in Norwalk, CT.

Dr. Van Kirk is a general ophthalmologist with expertise in no-stitch cataract surgery, pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus surgery, and glaucoma. She also performs the new premium lens implant surgery that can eliminate the need for glasses. Dr. Van Kirk has a special interest in corrective and cosmetic eyelid surgery and facial surgery. She has experience in laser assisted blepharoplasties, facial CO2 laser resurfacing, and facial rejuvenation with our newest laser, the Xeo Titan laser, all performed in Carolina Ophthalmology's state-of-the-art laser surgical suite. These procedures help with facial wrinkles around the eyes, lips and cheeks, as well as with age spots or skin blemishes. As an adjunct to her cosmetic procedures, Dr. Van Kirk also performs BOTOX® injections and Juvéderm™ injectable gel treatments. Ask her about the Obagi skin care system.
