Carolina Ophthalmology was founded in 1980 and since that time has grown to become one of the foremost ophthalmic centers in the country with offices located in Hendersonville, Asheville, Franklin, and a satellite location in Spruce Pine, NC. Collectively, our doctors have over sixty (60) years of experience serving the people of Western North Carolina, only one of the many reasons why people choose the "Carolina Ophthalmology Advantage."

All of our facilities house the latest state-of-the-art equipment available today including lasers, ultrasounds, and computer enhanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. Carolina Ophthalmology offers the most technically advanced eye care available including Small Incision No-Stitch Cataract surgery (offering the new ReStor and Crystalens premium lens implants), Glaucoma Services, Retina Services, Corneal Services, Laser Corrective and Cosmetic Surgery, Laser Facial Rejuvenation, Conductive Keratoplasty (CK), and the post-operative management of LASIK patients.

We perform outpatient eye surgery at five separate hospital outpatient surgery centers located throughout western North Carolina, including Pardee Hospital, Park Ridge Hospital, Asheville Surgery Center, and Angel Medical Center in Franklin. We also operate the Mitchell-Yancey Cataract Center jointly with Spruce Pine Community Hospital, located in Spruce Pine, NC. We maintain in-house surgical suites where many minor procedures are performed right in our office. Our centers are staffed by more than fifty highly trained professionals. All of the doctors and technicians are certified within their area of expertise. Rigorous training, excellence in surgical procedures and a continuous search for new and better eye treatments is part of our heritage.
